I don’t want to jinx us, but we’ve almost made it through the end of this mucked up year! We should celebrate this success and look back on 2020 as the year the universe told us to ‘slow down’ and ‘stay put.’
There is no denying that this year has made us all aware of how fragile and fleeting life can be and how difficult it is when we’re told we can’t do the things we normally do. But look at how resilient it’s made us! We’ve come together in far greater ways than ever before, relying on technology to keep us connected and focusing on the small things that make life bearable.
Another way we’ve found connection is through entertainment, such as TV shows, On Demand movies and of course, books. Lots and lots of books! I don’t know about you, but there was a few months this past summer where I couldn’t even pick up a new book to read. I just didn’t have it in me. But I’m past all that and for those of you who read romance, there has been no shortage of new books this year – all available at our fingertips!
And speaking of new books, I have a new release coming out just in time for the Christmas holiday! The Knight Before Christmas (A Mountain Man Holiday Short Story) is (you guessed it) a short holiday story about a mountain man and the woman that rescues him. Well, technically, he actually rescues her from peril when her car breaks down on Knight’s Mountain in the middle of a Christmas Even snowstorm. But she saves him emotionally with her love, kindness and generosity of spirit.
And that’s really what the holidays are all about, right? Love. Family. Kindness. Gratitude. And the act of giving.
The Knight Before Christmas releases on December 8th and is the first book in the Mountain Man Holiday Short Story series, with other books from the Flirt Club authors scheduled to release after. Get it for FREE on Kindle Unlimited and add it to your Goodreads TBR here.
If you’re reading this, I wish you the happiest and healthiest of holiday seasons. May it bring you joy and peace, and a time for reflection on all the positive experiences you gained out of this hellacious year.
All my best for a very happy holiday season.
Be Sweet. Love Hard. Read Dirty.
Xoxo, Sierra
